1.  All members will be given in writing a specified minimum number of introductions IN TWELVE MONTHS  or your money is refunded proportionate to any shortfall  of service ( most other agencies do not give ANY guarantees  but some may give you an "16 date programme"  without a time scale on the option to extend your membership so they could, extend a fixed period membership until you receive sufficicient  introductions.  This means you could receive just  2 dates a year and still be within contract,   insist on a minimum guarantee in writing - its your money. We know of one agency who's small print guarantees just TWO dates within your membership period - read contracts well!

2.  It is easy to make glossy statements at your interview of how they have loads of members who can't wait to meet you, then after joining find the reality of the situtaion. Be aware of introduction agencies that suggest it will take  3, 4, 8 weeks or more to arrange your first introduction  - the chances are they haven't got anyone for you to meet.  One client in her 30's paid an agency over 9K and has had just one introduction in 10 months and the agency is telling her that it takes time! What reason could there be for taking over 2 weeks to "process you"  Always read the small print on a contract, take it home  with you and think about it overnight,  if the next day it still makes sense, go for it.  Many people are taken in by the dating agency that promises everything verbally at the interview only to find the small print  means that even if you have just two dates in a whole year the introduction agency can just extend your membership at two dates a year until you receeive a reasonable number One agency charging over £10K promises to offer you just ONE introduction within six months of joining and if you reject the offer for any reason - that was still your one introduction, read your contract well..   If  an introduction agency  makes lots of  promises at your interview,  ask them to write it down on your contract. Remember anyone can run a dating agency it will give you more protection if the agency has been vetted by the trade association the ABIA. Some agencies will charge you huge fees knowing they do not have single member to match you with and as it is a "bespoke" service hope they will get you some dates at a later stage. We get several complaints from the public whre they have paid in excess of £6000 and are still waiting for their first introduction after 4 or even 6 months - make them put a time scale in writing or the right for your money to be refunded.
